Ash stopped at the shore, toeing off his sneakers. He clumsily yanked off his socks, nearly yanking himself over in the process. After a quick rolling up of his pants, he waded into the water, shivering at the cold water against his feet. He scooped up a couple rocks, trying to skip them over the surface.
